COWASH AT POPPY FLOWERS: MATERNATURE
If you remember, one of the first articles that I wrote when I decided to open the blog, was really dedicated to Cowash as an alternative and cheap way to wash our hair.
The Cowash, in fact, has always been a natural home remedy very useful for purifying and cleansing the scalp through a delicate exfoliation.
This remedy is generally recommended for those people who are approaching the bio and who therefore need greater care in eliminating silicones and harmful substances; however, it is also excellent for those who are already part of this world and especially for those who suffer from oily and oily skin.
The traditional Cowash recipe consists of very simple ingredients: balsam and sugar.
The balm that is used, more precisely, must be free of parabens and silicones because its function is to clean the hair gently and without surfactants, substances present in shampoos that if used habitually and in a pure way can stress the scalp responsible of sebum production.
How to use it?
Simply apply it on skin and hair and holding it for 15 to 20 minutes. Then rinse with plenty of hot water and without shampooing.
The Poppy Flower Maternatura Cowash is, therefore, a balm used for washing hair instead of shampoo. With this type of very delicate and super nourishing detergent, you save time and get soft and silky hair!
The Maternatura Cowash, in particular, is a delicate cleansing cream that does not produce foam but preserves the natural oils and hydration of skin and hair.
It does not contain silicones and consists of delicate surfactants such as Coconut oil and Moringa seeds, useful for effectively eliminating dirt and sebum reducing frizz. It also contains soy proteins that cover the hair shaft and protect it.
Finally, the Panthenol retains hydration and the extracts of Calendula, Chamomile, and Tiare flowers give softness and shine.
The other ingredients contained in the product formulation are sesame oil, poppy flower extract, nettle extract, and lemon extract.
A real mix of soothing and purifying active ingredients!
In particular, Poppy flowers are rich in acids and mucilages with calming, soothing, nourishing and emollient properties! A marvelous natural cure-all for our hair especially when they are weakened and weakened.
This product is ideal for all hair types but is perfect for those curly, frizzy, dry or afro. It is not greasy and does not weigh down. It is also indicated to preserve and prolong the color of the hair giving the right hydration they need.
PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND HOW TO USE
The Cowash is a treatment that must be used consistently and for a certain time if you want to get results: in fact, there are chances that after the first Cowash, the hair will be greased and therefore the opposite effect will be obtained. This undesirable effect could happen to organic newbies as they are not yet used to this kind of products.
In this case, you should not be tempted to wash your hair immediately, but wait a few days keeping them tied with a tail.
However, if you are used to washing your hair every day because you have very oily skin, try this:
- MONDAY: Cowash
- WEDNESDAY: cleansing with mild shampoo + conditioner/mask
- FRIDAY: Cowash
Do this for 2/3 weeks or until you notice improvements. Then, you can proceed with your haircare routine always trying to wash your hair no more than 3 times a week.
As for my personal experience, I use this product once a week alternating with the classic shampoo + conditioner/mask cleansing and applying a generous amount of product to wet hair and distributing it evenly over the entire hair. Then, gently massage the skin and hair to reactivate the microcirculation and to stimulate the hair follicles in order to also encourage healthy hair growth.
Afterward, rinse thoroughly with warm water.
If necessary, you can repeat the operation and then continue with the application of styling products.
After this alternative washing, the hair is soft and extraordinarily clean!
It is important to include this product in your usual routine, at least once a week, because it allows you to minimize the effects of too frequent and sometimes particularly aggressive shampoos.
